Residents Reporting Aggressive Sales Tactics from Electric Suppliers

There have been recent reports of residents receiving calls and visits at their doors from electric  supply companies trying to sign up residents for multi-year electric supply contracts. They may claim to be from ComEd or the Village. At this time, the only authorized agent for contacting residents on behalf of the Village's electric aggregation program is First Energy.

Halloween: 2015 Trick-or-Treating on Saturday, October 31st from 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Since Halloween falls on a Saturday this year, trick-or-treating in the Village of Gurnee will be held on Saturday, October 31st from 2pm-5pm (rather than the typical Sunday before Halloween)

The Village also asks that you be respectful of your neighbors while trick-or-treating--go only to homes of people you know. If you have questions regarding trick-or-treating hours, please contact the Village of Gurnee Police Department at (847) 599-7000.

Village Board Approves Multi-Year Capital Improvement Plan

At its regular meeting on April 4, 2016 the Village Board approved the Multi-Year Capital Improvement Plan as part of the FY16/17 Annual Budget. The Capital Plan specifically focuses on how resources will be allocated for building and maintaining roads, facilities, vehicles and the water and sewer systems. Better planning, particularly with regards to high-cost capital items, maximizes the life of each piece of infrastructure and helps keep taxes low.
