Village Board Approves Multi-Year Capital Improvement Plan

At its regular meeting on April 4, 2016 the Village Board approved the Multi-Year Capital Improvement Plan as part of the FY16/17 Annual Budget. The Capital Plan specifically focuses on how resources will be allocated for building and maintaining roads, facilities, vehicles and the water and sewer systems. Better planning, particularly with regards to high-cost capital items, maximizes the life of each piece of infrastructure and helps keep taxes low.

Public Act 097-0609 FY 2015-16 Reports

Public Act 097-0609 (4 ILCS 120/7.3), requires employers participating in the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund to post the total compensation package for each employee having a total compensation package that exceeds $75,000.00 per year. “Total Compensation Package” means payment by the employer to the employee for salary, health insurance, a housing allowance, a vehicle allowance, a clothing allowance, bonuses, loans, vacation days granted and sick days granted.

Why am I billed by North Shore Water Reclamation District?

Homes located east of the tollway (I-94) receive a separate bill from North Shore Water Reclamation District (NSWRD) for sewage processing. This bill is based on your water usage -- provided by the Village to NSWRD. Property owners also pay property tax to the NSWRD for its administrative costs. Homes west of the tollway are billed Lake County Public Works Sewer fees and do not receive a NSWRD bill or pay property taxes to the NSWRD.
