Gurnee, IL – December 10, 2009 - The Village of Gurnee has selected Diane Lembesis to serve as the new Director of Finance. Ms. Lembesis has nearly two decades of government finance experience and brings a wealth of knowledge with her to the Village of Gurnee. She will be formally appointed to the position at the January 4, 2010 Village Board meeting.
The accounting and financial reporting functions of the Village are centralized in the Administration Department under the supervision of the Finance Director. Finance division activities include: accounting, accounts payables, accounts receivables, auditing, budget, business licensing, debt management, financial reporting, payroll, purchasing, revenue collection, risk management, and treasury operations.
GURNEE, IL - The Village of Gurnee will undergo a Village-wide mosquito adulticiding treatment during the evening hours of Wednesday, September 9th and continuing into the morning hours of Thursday, September 10th, weather permitting.
GURNEE, IL - September 8, 2009 - The Gurnee Police Department and the Lake County Sheriff’s Department conducted a roadside safety checkpoint from 10:14 PM, September 4th, 2009 to 2:30 AM, September 5th, 2009. The annual Community Feedback Survey was mailed to 1500 randomly selected residents on Tuesday, August 18th and will be due back to the Village on Friday, September 4th.
GURNEE, IL - June 26, 2009 - The Village of Gurnee will undergo a Village-wide adult mosquito control treatment during the evening hours of Sunday, June 28th and continuing into the morning hours of Monday, June 29th, weather permitting.

The Village of Gurnee engaged Sikich, LLP to assist in a strategic planning effort. The strategic planning initiative integrates operational, financial, and long-term goals. By engaging in the development of a multi-year strategic plan, the Village has garnered the data and stakeholder input critical to establishing a solid foundation to guide decision making.
