Gurnee Police and Firefighter Charity Golf Outing

The Gurnee Fire Department's Local 3598 and the Police Department's FOP 266 are teaming up to start an annual charity golf outing on Friday, September 9th, 2016 at Bittersweet Golf Course (875 Almond Road, Gurnee, IL 60031).  It will be a best ball, scramble format outing starting at 10 am.  The goal of this outing is to bring the different departments of the Village together for a day of fun, while at the same time raising money for charity.

Halloween: 2016 Trick-or-Treating on Sunday, October 30th from 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Trick-or-treating in the Village of Gurnee will be held on Sunday, October 30th from 2pm-5pm. 

The Village also asks that you be respectful of your neighbors while trick-or-treating--go only to homes of people you know. If you have questions regarding trick-or-treating hours, please contact the Village of Gurnee Police Department at (847) 599-7000.

Gurnee Fire Employee of the Year Announced for the Exchange Club of Gurnee

GURNEE, IL – The Gurnee Fire Department Awards Task Force recently convened to review the nomination for the Fire Employee of the Year for the Exchange Club of Gurnee. The Awards Task Force is pleased to announce that Battalion Chief James Pellitteri has been selected as the 2013 Gurnee Fire Employee of the Year.

Gurnee Fire Department Earns 2013 Life Safety Achievement Award

GURNEE, IL – The Gurnee Fire Department has been presented with a Life Safety Achievement Award for the year 2013 by the National Association of State Fire Marshals (NASFM) Fire Research and Education Foundation and the Grinnell Mutual Reinsurance Company. The award was announced by Butch Browning, President of the NASFM Fire Research and Education Foundation.
