About Gurnee Days

Gurnee Days is an annual celebration that brings the community together for a safe, fun-filled family event. For 42 years, the festivities have been planned and orchestrated by the Gurnee Days Corporation, a not-for-profit, volunteer organization. The event is funded by contributions from area businesses and civic organizations. Gurnee Days will be held August 7-10, 2014, and most of the events take place in the Village Center (Viking Park, Peterson Park, Library, Viking School, and the Police and Fire Stations). The theme of the 2014 Gurnee Days event is "Little Bit Country, Little Bit Rock ‘N’ Roll."

The Gurnee Days Corporation meets the first Wednesday of each month at the Gurnee Police Department. Meetings are open to the public, and new members are always welcome. Those interested in becoming members are encouraged to attend a meeting.
