Gurnee Days - Event History

Gurnee Days was initiated in 1973 with the idea of a family type weekend of entertainment and activities. Gordon Gillings was retired after 24 years as mayor of Gurnee, and most appropriately was designated the parade marshall and to be the honored guest for the banquet. Each year following there has been a special reason for honoring a special person or persons.
