Unlimited Containerized Landscape Waste Collection Extended Through Friday, April 27th

Due to unfavorable April weather, Waste Management’s annual unlimited landscape waste collection program will be extended in to the week of Monday, April 23rd through Friday, April 27th in order to allow residents to take better advantage of the opportunity. Residents with landscape waste out the week of Monday, April 16th through Friday, April 20th will still receive collection. Under this program, Village residents who receive service through the Village’s refuse contract with Waste Management are able to dispose of an unlimited amount of landscape waste at no cost.  Collection will take place on each residents’ regular pick-up day.

In order for the landscape waste to be collected, it must be put into a container such as a Kraft-type paper bag not to exceed 45 pounds, a rigid can not to exceed 32 gallons and/or bundles of brush not to exceed two feet in diameter by four feet long.  Bundles must be tied with twine or string in distinct piles and weigh no more than 60 pounds with no individual branch being greater than three inches in diameter.  Landscape waste must be placed at the curb or the edge of the road by 6:00 a.m. on the day of pickup.

Regular yard waste collection through Waste Management’s subscription service or sticker program began as regularly scheduled on Monday, April 2nd.  For any questions, contact Waste Management at (800) 796-9696.
