Missing Persons/Child Endangerment

GURNEE - October 3, 2008 - On Friday, October 3, 2008 Gurnee Police Detectives received information regarding the whereabouts of Diane Kosing and Spencer Karp, the mother and child reported missing yesterday.  The mother’s parents live in Gurnee and their 32 year old daughter has been living with them along with her 4 year old son.

Gurnee Detectives were able to make contact with Kosing and the child today.  Both were located in Chicago and stated they are well and in no danger.  Both appeared to be in good health.

Officers were originally told that Diane Michelle Kosing, 32, female white, had left her parent’s residence on September 15, 2008 with her four year old son, Spencer James Karp, male white, to get an oil change for her car and run some errands.  They never returned to the residence in Gurnee.  Her father stated that he had phone contact with his daughter on September 22 and September 27 but had not heard from her since.

The Gurnee Police Department is closing the investigation.  Neither the mother nor the child appear to be in any danger and are in Chicago voluntarily.
