Warren Student Arrested in Bomb Threat Incident

GURNEE - November 11, 2008 - On Friday morning, 11-07-08, a Warren Township High School student at the Almond Road Campus handed a Gurnee Police Officer a computer print out that stated there was a bomb in room 139.  The area was evacuated by school personnel and police searched the area but no bomb was located.

Subsequent investigation proved the bomb threat to be a hoax and on Monday, 11-10-08 at 3:09 PM the Warren senior who had delivered the threat notice was taken into custody without incident at the Almond Road Campus.  Arrested was Billy R. Morrow, male white, 17, of Lake Villa.  Morrow is charged with Giving a False Bomb Alarm, a Class 3 Felony.  Morrow remains in custody at the Gurnee Police Department and will appear in Lake County Bond Court in Waukegan on Wednesday morning.
