Farmer's Market Relocated to Viking Park This Friday, June 26th

GURNEE, IL - June 23, 2009 - The Gurnee Park District Farmer’s Market will be relocated to the
north parking lot of Viking Park, 4374 Old Grand Avenue, this Friday, June 26th due to unsuitable ground conditions caused by area flooding. The market opens to the public at 8am. For updates, please visit

This year the market has grown to 35 unique vendors and includes past favorites like Farmer Fred, Wild Flour Bakery, Penny’s Pet Pourri, Twin Garden Farms, known for their Mirai Sweet Corn and new foods and services including fresh eggs, knife sharpening and oriental plants.
Stop by the Gurnee Park District Booth at the Farmer’s Market to purchase your reusable market bag for only $1. Proceeds go to the Gurnee Park District scholarship program.
