The Gurnee Police Department and the Lake County Sheriff’s Department conducted a roadside safety checkpoint from 10:22 PM, September 3rd, 2010 to 2:30 AM, September 4th, 2010. The checkpoint was held in the 3500 block of Route 132. The results of the checkpoint are as follows.

443 vehicles were directed through the checkpoint
 

• 2 - Arrests for Driving under the Influence
• 14 - Arrests/citations for No Valid Drivers’ License
• 9 - Arrests for Suspended/Revoked Drivers’ License
• 4 - Citations for No Drivers’ License on Person
• 9 - Citations for Failure to Wear a Seatbelt
• 5 - Failure to Secure a Child under 8 years old
• 48 - Citations for No Insurance
• 5 - Moving violations
• 6 - Equipment Violations
• 12 - Registration Violations
