Teens Arrested for Robbery

Two 17 year old males and a 15 year old male, all from Waukegan, were taken into custody for a robbery incident at Gurnee Mills that was reported to Gurnee Police at 8:39 PM Wednesday evening.


The 19 year old male victim, also from Waukegan, stated that he had been purchasing some food at the food court near entry J when he was approached by the three teens. The suspects were known to the victim. The victim went to a restroom and the three suspects followed him into the restroom. The suspects confronted the victim regarding some stolen video game and computer equipment. The victim denied taking the items and the three suspects then punched and kicked the victim. The victim’s wallet, cell phone and keys were taken from him.


A witness contacted police and the three suspects were located in the mall parking lot and taken into custody. The stolen wallet contained $5.00 cash and miscellaneous cards. The wallet was later recovered by a mall security officer in a trash can outside the mall near entry J. The 19 year old victim was not seriously injured during the robbery and did not require medical attention.


Arrested were Quincy R. Minor, 17, of Waukegan and Devord I. Page, 17, of Waukegan. Minor and Page were both charged with Robbery (Class 2 Felony) and Aggravated Battery (Class 3 Felony) due to the incident having occurred in a public place. Minor and Page are being charged as adults in this incident. A 15 year old male from Waukegan was taken into custody and later released to his foster parents. He is being referred to Lake County Juvenile Court for Robbery and Aggravated Battery.


Minor and Page were held overnight at the Gurnee Police facility and will appear in bond court Waukegan later today.
