The Solid Waste Agency of Lake County (SWALCO) recently released their 2011 schedule for household chemical waste collection events.  Drop-off events will be held on the second Saturday and fourth Monday of each month at SWALCO's Gurnee facility (1311 Estes).  Residents will need an appointment in order to drop off the chemicals they wish to dispose.  To schedule an appointment for any of these dates, visit SWALCO's website.  Mobile collections will take place April through November; dates will be announced soon.
