Neighborhood Watch Crime Alert: Stonebrook Residential Burglary

The Gurnee Police Department is currently investigating 2 residential burglaries that were reported to have occurred on Monday, 04/04/11 during the late afternoon or evening hours. Both burglaries have similarities that indicate they were committed by the same offender(s). In each case, no one was home at the time the offenses occurred and no one was injured. Evidence suggests the suspect(s) traveled on foot as opposed to in a vehicle, at least for part of the time.

Entry to each residence was gained by breaking a basement window. Once inside, the offender(s) ascended into the main living portion of the homes and stole small, easily concealed items such as jewelry, cash, MP3 players, etc.

If anyone saw or heard anything unusual during the afternoon or evening hours of Monday 04/04/11, please contact the Gurnee Police Department at 847-599-7000 and ask to speak with an investigator.
