|Road Construction Update - August 25, 2011
Washington Street from Tri-State Parkway to Hunt Club Road
Final paving was completed this past week and landscape restoration remains. Construction zone speed limits will be posted until all the restoration is completed.
2011 Motor Fuel Tax Roadway Rehabilitation
Maps are available on the Gurnee website depicting the specific street locations of the contract work this year.
Patching and milling work is underway on Tri-State Parkway and Fuller Road.
Southridge subdivision streets are scheduled for surfacing next week.
Heatherridge Drive is scheduled to be paved with leveling binder next week.
Residents or businesses that identify a hazard such as a pothole are always asked to contact the Public Works Department for an immediate repair to eliminate the hazard.
East side of Hunt Club Road north of Washington Street
Private development for a multiple story senior living facility. Mass grading and utility installation are underway.
South side of Grand Ave west of Rollins Road
Private development for a multiple story medical office facility. Utility installation is underway.
IL Route 132 pavement patching
IDOT has contracted to have asphalt pavement patching performed at several locations along Grand Avenue. Work is scheduled at the following locations:
--Bridge over the Tollway between the ramps.
--At Hunt Club Road intersection
--Between O'Plaine Road and Greenleaf Street
Work is expected to begin the week of September 5th and daily lane closures can be expected.
US Highway 41 pavement patching
IDOT has contracted to have concrete patching permformed on Skokie Highway under the railroad bridge near Delany Road and under Washington Street. This work will require lane closures to facilitate the work.
