Gurnee Police Continue Investigating Business Robberies

GURNEE, IL – The Gurnee Police Department continues to investigate two robberies that recently occurred.
The first robbery occurred at approximately 9:54 PM on 11/28/11 at the Dunkin’ Donuts and Baskin Robbins located at 5414 Grand Avenue. The second occurred on 11/29/11, at approximately 3:23 AM at the EconoLodge, 3740 Grand Avenue. The offender in both cases was described as a male, 6 feet 2 inches to 6 feet 4 inches tall, thin build, dressed in black, wearing a hooded jacket, black jeans and a dark colored mask. Surveillance photos captured during the Dunkin’ Donuts incident can be found on the Village's website.
Surveillance photos of an armed robbery that took place in Winthrop Harbor at 7:33 PM on 10/25/11 can also be found on the Village's website. The physical descriptions of the offender in each case are very similar, as is the method of operation.
