Gurnee Police Seek Information on Residential Burglary

Gurnee, IL – On Thursday, 01/12/2012 at 11:34 AM, the Gurnee Police Department received a call of a burglary that had just occurred at a home in the 400 block of Belle Plaine Avenue on Gurnee’s east side. Officer’s discovered that a rear door window had been damaged and the door was unlocked by the offenders to gain access to the home. No residents were in the home at the time of the burglary. Taken were electronic game consoles, games and various home electronic devices.

A witness stated he saw two African-American males and a 25-30 year old female Hispanic or African-American with dark shoulder length hair. The female was seen carrying a computer and flat screen monitor/TV. Suspect #1 was described as an African-American male, in his early to mid 20’s, 5’8"-5’10", approximately 170 lbs. wearing a black and white checkered winter hat with ear flaps, a dark jacket and dark pants. Suspect #2 was described as an African-American male, in his 20’s, similar build as suspect #1, wearing a dark blue or gray hooded jacket and dark pants.

All three subjects were seen in a dark red, older model (possibly 90’s), Dodge Caravan or Plymouth Voyager minivan. The female was the driver of the van. The van is missing the wheel cover on the right front tire. Still images of the suspect vehicle obtained from a security camera video are attached.
