Providence Oaks and Country Trails had their most recent Neighborhood Watch meeting on 11/08/12. The meeting was facilitated by Tom Agos. Officers Marty DePerte and Lisa Moe were present. Communications operators Lisa Crum-Cliff, Meghan Weiss, Brandon Ergish and also attended. A 33 minute audio recording of the meeting is attached. Below is a brief summary:

Police Activity and Crime:

286 police calls for service have been generated by the 2 neighborhoods from January 1st through September 30th, 2012. Historically, the annual average is 368.

6 of the calls during the examined time period were for Illinois Uniform Crime Report (IUCR) crimes. The rest of the police calls are considered quasi-criminal, traffic, and service-related. In all of 2012, we expect 23 IUCR crimes to occur in the patrol beats based on the trend established during the previous 6 years. 2012 so far is trending below that average.

Since January 2007, 2211 calls for service have been responded to in the neighborhoods; 142 of them IUCR crimes. The calls for service to IUCR crime ratio in the area is roughly 6.5%.
