Steeple Pointe, Estates of Churchill Hunt, and Coventry Estates had their most recent Neighborhood Watch meeting on 09/19/13. The meeting was facilitated by Officer J.R. Nauseda.

Your next regularly-scheduled neighborhood watch meeting is slated for March 20th, 2014; sooner should the need arise. An official notice will be circulated when the date is closer.

Police Activity Summary:

In patrol beats 20, 21, 34 and 35, 230 police calls for service were generated during the first half of 2013. Historically, the annual average is 489.

18 of the calls received during the first half of 2013 were for Illinois Uniform Crime Report (IUCR) crimes. The rest of the police calls are considered quasi-criminal, traffic, and service-related.

Since January 2008, 2,932 calls for service have been responded to in the neighborhoods; 117 of them IUCR crimes. The calls for service to IUCR crime ratio in the area is 5.2%.

Training:

We presented a training session to residents pertaining to door-to-door sales people (solicitors). We discussed what defines a solicitor, registration requirements for them, constitutional considerations, and how residents can best partner with us in terms of enforcement.
