Unlimited Landscape Waste Collection to Be Held the Week of Monday, April 21st

Due to recent cold weather and resident requests, Waste Management's annual unlimited landscape waste collection program has been delayed from the week of Monday, April 7th to the week of Monday, April 21st. During this week, residents receiving refuse collection service through the Village's contract with Waste Management can dispose of an unlimited amount of landscape at no cost. Collection will take place on the resident's regular pick-up day.

In order for the landscape waste to be collected, it must be containerized either in a Kraft-type paper bag not to exceed 45 lbs; a rigid can not to exceed 32-gallons; and/or bundles of brush not to exceed two feet in diameter by four feet long and weighing no more than 60 pounds with no individual branch being greater than three inches in diameter.  Brush must be bundled and tied with twine or string in distinct piles.

Landscape waste must be placed at the curb or the edge of the road by 6:00 a.m.  Failure to have materials out at this time could result in waste not being collected.

Waste Management's yardwaste subscription service and sticker program will begin as originally scheduled on Monday, April 7th. More information about landscape waste collection can be found at http://www.gurnee.il.us/waste/landscape. Please contact Waste Management at (800) 796-9696 or Village Hall at (847) 599-7500 with any questions.
