Village Board Approves Multi-Year Capital Improvement Plan

At its regular meeting on April 6th, the Village Board approved both the FY 15/16 Budget and the Multi-Year Capital Improvement Plan. Together, these two documents guide the Village's spending and long-term planning. While the budget manages operating expenses (such as salaries, etc.), the Capital Plan specifically focuses on how resources will be allocated for building and maintaining roads, facilities, vehicles and the water and sewer systems.

ComEd to Begin Tree Trimming in Spring/Summer 2015

The Village has received notice from ComEd that they will begin tree trimming along N. O'Plaine Road, Route 21, Fuller Road and N. Cemetery later this month. Tree trimming is part of ComEd's larger maintenance program and is designed to remove weak or dangerous tree branches prior to a storm to prevent power outages and down wires. ComEd does not anticipate any power outages will occur while contractors are working but if they do occur, they should be very brief.
