Request for Proposals: Gurnee Days Fireworks Display

The Village of Gurnee is requesting fixed price proposals for the purpose of providing one community fireworks displays each year in 2015, 2016 and 2017.  The displays will be held at Viking Park (4363 Old Grand Avenue, Gurnee, IL) as part of the annual Gurnee Days celebration.

Village Board Approves Final Incentives Package for AKHAN Semiconductor

On Monday, January 26th, the Village Board approved an up to $1.5 million economic development agreement with AKHAN Semiconductor (AKHAN) to relocate its corporate and manufacturing headquarters to the Village.  With the approval, AKHAN will now close on a property in Tri-State Business Park in February and plans to begin work later this year.

Frequently Asked Questions Regarding the Village's Home-Rule Sales Tax for Businesses

On January 1st, 2015, the sales tax rate on general merchandise being sold in the Village will increase from 7.5% to 8%. On that date, businesses collecting and remitting sales tax will be required to adjust their point of sale systems to collect the new rate.
