2015 Holiday Train Arrives in Gurnee on Friday, December 4th!

The Canadian Pacific Railroad (CPR) Holiday Train will be hitting the rails again soon and making a stop in Gurnee!

The train is scheduled to arrive near Viking Park (4374 Old Grand Avenue) at 3:50 pm on Friday, December 4th. Be sure to arrive early to see the train pull in. The Holiday Train is nearly 1,000 feet long with 14 rail cars, each decorated with hundreds of thousands of technology-leading LED lights and holiday designs. Parking will be available at Viking Park and Viking Park Middle School, as well as on the street around Old Grand Avenue. 

This year's musical entertainment will feature Kira Isabella and Doc Walker. The event will be held from 4-4:30 p.m.

Gurnee's Online Permitting Application - OneStop Gurnee


In an effort to simplify the building permit application process and make it more convenient for residents and businesses, the Village of Gurnee has created a website called OneStop Gurnee that allows users to submit some permit applications online. The site allows you to supply the information and materials required for permit submittal online, without having to make an initial visit to Village Hall. OneStop Gurnee will also allow you to track the progress of your permit application and, eventually, make payments online.
