Neighborhood Watch

The Gurnee Police Department works closely with Neighborhood Watch groups as part of efforts aimed at safety and crime prevention. This page has been added as a starting point for information tailored to Neighborhood Watch participants.

Residents may elect to receive email alerts from the police department. Please contact the Crime Prevention Unit at 847-599-7080 to sign up. Alternately, you can email a request to receive alerts to toma@police.gurnee.il.us. Please include your name, home or business address, telephone number, and email address. This service is predominantly available to Village of Gurnee residents and business owners. Requests from persons or entities outside the village will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Hickory Haven Neighborhood Watch Meeting - 2/9/12

Attached is an audio recording of the Hickory Haven Neighborhood Watch meeting held on 02.09.12. The meeting was facilitated by Officer Jason Kalinowski and Crime Prevention Technician Tom Agos. Chief Woodside introduced himself. He spoke to the group about their vital role as citizens in helping solve a residential burglary that occurred in November 2011. Also, Patricia Fix, Chief of the Felony Trial Division, Lake County State's Attorney's office provided the group with a unique look inside the criminal prosecution process.

Attached is an audio recording of the Elysian Fields/Greystone Neighborhood Watch. The meeting was facilitated by Officer Bill Stashkiw and Crime Prevention Technician Tom Agos. Patricia Fix, Chief of the Felony Trial Division, Lake County State's Attorney's office was our guest speaker. Ms. Fix provided the group with a unique look inside the criminal prosecution process.
