Gurnee Police Assist with Make-A-Wish

Gurnee, IL – Jonah Kolesar is a 7 year old boy from Gurnee who suffers from an autoimmune disorder and wants to become a police officer.  Jonah has what is known as IPEX Syndrome, characterized by the development of multiple autoimmune disorders in affected individuals according to the National Institutes of Health.  At just seven years of age, Jonah has undergone chemotherapy and a stem-cell bone marrow transplant in an effort to boost his immune system.  He previously lived in Round Lake where he was made an honorary police officer.

Missing Child

Gurnee, IL - The Gurnee Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing child. Amayrani Brambila, 7 years old, was last seen with her mother, Siomara Alvarado (aka Siomara Gutierrez), on Sunday evening, 8/31/14.  It is believed they left in a taxi and their destination is unknown.

Possession of Child Pornography

Gurnee, IL  - Following several weeks of investigation, the Gurnee Police Department has arrested a subject for possession of child pornography. On June 20, 2014 a search warrant was executed at a residence in the 4100 block of Stoney Island Ave in Gurnee.  The search warrant was in reference to known images of child pornography being uploaded to the internet from a computer at the residence.  Multiple images of child pornography were recovered during the search warrant.  Ronald J.

Gurnee Police to Conduct Special Independence Day Enforcement Period

Gurnee, IL – The Independence Day Holiday is one of the most dangerous in Illinois when it comes to crashes, according to the Illinois Department of Transportation.

Beginning June 23rd and running through July 6th 2014, the Gurnee Police Department will be conducting additional occupant protection and impaired driver enforcement patrols.
