Gurnee Police Seeking Assistance in Robbery Case

GURNEE, IL - On Friday, August 28, 2009 at 5:21 PM, Gurnee Police Officers responded to a reported armed robbery that had just occurred at the Shell Gas Station, 6050 West Grand Ave. The 39 year old male station attendant reported that he was robbed at gunpoint by a single African-American male offender.

Gurnee Police Conducting Special Enforcement Period

Beginning August 21st and running through September 7th, the Gurnee Police Department is conducting special traffic enforcement throughout the village. Also, beginning on September 3rd running through the early morning hours of September 4th, theGurnee Police Department is joining other Illinois police agencies throughout the area in conducting a second multi-jurisdictional mobilization to address dangerous driving.

Roadside Safety Checkpoint

The Gurnee Police Department along with the Lake County Sheriff’s Department will be conducting a Roadside Safety Checkpoint in the 3500 block of Grand Avenue on the evening of Friday, September 4, 2009.

Burglary Arrests

GURNEE, IL - July 30, 2009 -On July 29, 2009 at 9:14 AM, Gurnee police officers responded to a report of a burglary at the Dairy Queen store, located at 4611 Old Grand Avenue. The offenders had broken out a window at the rear of the business to gain entry. An undisclosed amount of cash and gift certificates were taken.
