The Problem: Red Light Violations
GURNEE, IL - June 1, 2009 - The Village of Gurnee will begin the red light camera 30-day warning period on Saturday, June 6th. Motorists who violate red lights during this period will be notified through a warning letter, but will not receive a citation. The 30-day warning period will conclude on Sunday, July 5th.
GURNEE, IL - June 30, 2009 - Four male suspects were arrested early Monday morning in the 5900 block of Delaware Avenue after a resident in the area called police to report suspicious subjects around her home. The four suspects, three adults and one juvenile, were charged late today.

Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) is a 17-week course taught at school by Gurnee police officers. The program is designed to help children make the right decisions about drugs and build self-confidence.
GURNEE, IL - At approximately 8:04 PM on July 9, 2009, Gurnee Police responded to a suspicious person call in the parking lot of the Bombay City Restaurant, 3747 Grand Ave. A male subject inside the car was reportedly having car trouble and had passed out inside the car.
