Petition Filing and Lottery Information
GURNEE, IL – December 17, 2012 through December 26, 2012 is the filing period for candidates seeking to be nominated at the April 9, 2013 Consolidated Election. Filing will conclude at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, December 26th. The Governor Office recently signed into law the bill that was passed by the General Assembly (SB 3338) extending the deadline to file petitions for the 2013 Consolidated Election from December 24th to December 26th.
Village offices will be open each day of the filing period from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., with the exception of Saturday, December 22nd , Sunday, December 23rd, Monday, December 24th and Tuesday, December 25th.
The Village of Gurnee is accepting candidate nomination papers for the following:
- Village President - 1 Full Term
- Village Trustee - 3 Full Term Trustees
- Village Clerk - 1 Full Term
The lottery for all simultaneous 8:00 a.m. filers will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 2nd in the Council Chambers at Gurnee Village Hall.
The last day to file objections to nomination papers is Friday, January 4th.
