Gurnee, IL – The Gurnee Police Department announces National Seat Check Saturday.
Parents and caregivers will be offered life-saving help and techniques on how to install and use car seats properly on National Seat Check Saturday, September 21, 2013, part of Child Passenger Safety Week, September 15-21.
National Seat Check Saturday is a day when certified car seat technicians will be on hand to teach parents and caregivers how to know for sure if their child is in the right seat for the child’s age and size. Technicians will also check car seats to ensure they’re used and installed the right way.

The goal of National Seat Check Saturday is to teach parents how to correctly install and use car seats and to ensure children are in the right seats for their ages and sizes.
