Gurnee, IL – Beginning December 20th and running through January 5th, 2014, the Gurnee Police Department will be conducting special traffic enforcement efforts throughout the village.
Funded by a grant from the Illinois Department of Transportation and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, these additional 40 hours of enforcement actions are being focused to remove drunk and drugged drivers from the roadways, increase safety belt and child restraint device use, and to curb speeding motorists.
Chief Kevin Woodside would like to remind everyone to have a safe and responsible Holiday season. “Make the smart choice before you drink and drive.”
