MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING
OF THE GURNEE VILLAGE BOARD
GURNEE MUNICIPAL BUILDING
JANUARY 17, 1987
The meeting was called to
order at 8:36 a.m. by Mayor Welton.
Roll call, present : Yost, Rocheleau,
Smith absent : Hensgen, Petropoulos, Zelenko
Other Officials present : Robert R.
Trigg, Village Administrator
W. Howard
Swanson, Village Attorney
Mayor Welton announced that since
a quorum was present, the purpose of the special meeting is to
consider an ordinance authorizing the Village of Round Lake Beach
and Round Lake Consortium to be admitted to the Central Lake County
Joint Action Water Agency, and is being held as published.
Mr. Trigg announced that an ordinance
is necessary for said Village and Consortium to join said agency
on the advice of a letter from the attorney from said agency.
Smith moved, seconded by Yost, to
approve Village Ordinance No. 87-2 which authorizes an acceptance
and consent to join the Central Lake County Joint Action Water
Agency by the Village of Round Lake Beach and by the Round Lake
Consortium. Roll call, aye: Yost, Rocheleau, Smith, Welton. Nay:
none. Absent : Hensgen, Petropoulos, Zelenko. Motion carried.
Mayor Welton stated that Mr. Trigg,
Trustee Smith and himself will be meeting with state legislators
in order for the said agency to obtain "Build Illinois"
funds for construction.
Mr. Trigg stated that Village Engineer
Reed and Baxter and Woodman will conduct a study of the village
water system, now that there is a certain source of Lake Michigan
water for the village. The study will be due by April, 1987.
Rocheleau moved, seconded by Smith,
to ajourn the meeting. All aye. Motion carried.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:42
a.m. by Mayor Welton.
