Mr. Muetz said following the passage of the annual budget, the Village must set the annual appropriation.  The appropriation ordinance establishes the Village’s legal spending limits for the fiscal year.   As in the past, the General Fund, 911 Fund, Capital Improvement Fund, Utility Operating / Surplus Funds have been increased by 25% of the budgeted amounts.  This increase covers any budget category that may go over budget.  He stated this does not change the departments’ responsibility to spend within their total department budget.  All other funds are appropriated as budgeted.

Trustee Balmes motioned, seconded by Trustee Ross, to recommend proposed Annual Appropriation Ordinance for the Fiscal Year May 1, 2014 through April 30, 2015.
