GURNEE VILLAGE BOARD IN REFERENCE TO
THE CANVASS OF THE VOTES FOR
THE REFERENDUM FOR 9
WARREN TOWNSHIP HIGH SCHOOL
AUDITORIUM
NOVEMBER 13,
1989
The Special Meeting was called to order
at 7:15 p.m. by Mayor Welton.
Roll Call, Present: Yost, O'Brien,
Rocheleau, Petropoulos, Smith
Absent: Zelenko
Other officials present: James T. Hayner,
Village Administrator
Barbara Rominski, Acting
Village Attorney
Mayor Welton announced that this Special
Meeting is being held to make a canvass of the votes in the Referendum
for 9-1-1, and is being held as published.
The Village Administrator reported
that 2,130 votes were cast in the referendum for 9-1-1 on Election
Day, November 7, 1989. 1,669 votes were cast in favor of the proposal
and 461 votes were cast against the proposal. The proposal was
approved by the voters in the Village.
Yost moved, seconded by O'Brien, to
approve Village Ordinance No. 89-153, which approves the canvass
of the votes for the Referendum proposal for 9-1-1 service in
the Village in that the referendum was approved.
Roll Call, Aye: Yost, O'Brien, Rocheleau,
Petropoulos, Smith Nay: None . Absent: Zelenko
Motion Carried.
Yost moved, seconded by Smith, to adjourn
the Special Meeting.
All Aye. Motion Carried.
The Special Meeting was adjourned at
7:21 p.m. by Mayor Welton.
