Mayor Welton reported to the Board on a deannexation request by Skokie Valley Asphalt for 28 acres of property on the south side of Washington Street, east of Rt. 41. He stated he had met with Mayor Van Paris of Park City, and Mayor Sabonjian of Waukegan to discuss the entire matter of boundaries in that area. Generally the discussion was about Gurnee deannexing land south of Washington Street, and Park City deannexing the land north of Washington Street. Further Waukegan was interested in the land on the northside of Washington Street consisting of 5 acres, where Waukegan Excavating is presently located. They wish to buy that facility for a public works garage and fire station. The 3 mayors also talked about boundary agreements, and fire service. Yost moved, seconded by Leable to instruct Administrator Trigg to make a study of the assessed valuation values, boundary agreements, exchange of property, and to evaluate the fire district service, and to provide this information to the committee, consisting of Trustees Berdahl, Bratzke, and Johnson. All ayes. Motion carried.

Trustee Yost discussed the two - one acre park sites near the Marriott Theme Parks entrance on Rt. 132. He also stated that the Gurnee Park District should be involved in this process. He requested the news papers to publish a notice that a meeting on these two park areas would be held in the near future.

The remaining portion of the meeting was used to hold a first reading on a annexation agreement requested by Dr. Hudson, on the property north of Rt. 132 and west of Dillys Road at the tollway.
