Background

Village Trustee also serves on the Gurnee Chamber of Commerce, Gurnee Days Committee, Breakfast Exchange Club and Gurnee Women’s Business Association. In addition to participating in local civic organizations, Jeanne is a full-time florist and local business owner. In her free time she enjoys golfing, reading and pursuing art and music interests.

In Her Own Words

When asked what motivated her to become involved in municipal government, Jeanne responded, “I love the Village of Gurnee. I’ve been involved in several organizations and have a business in town. I wanted to keep the Village going in a positive direction and a leading community in the county and felt the need to become an active member of the Village Board.”

Jeanne was also asked of what accomplishments she is most proud. “Being chosen as the Gurnee Days Corporation Honoree for my many involvements in Gurnee. In the floral industry, I’ve been inducted into the American Academy of Horticulture, American Institute of Floral Designers, and an Illinois Certified Professional Florist, making me one of Lake County’s most certified florists. I’ve also gone to Washington D.C. to participate in the 2001 and 2005 Presidential Inaugurations.”
