Gurnee Police Explorer Program
The Gurnee Police Department is currently seeking young adults, ages 15 to 20, to join the Gurnee Police Department Law Enforcement Explorer Post.
WHAT IT TAKES TO BE ONE OF US…
- Between the ages of 15 and 20
- Pass an oral interview board
- Pass a thorough background investigation
- Explorers who are under eighteen (18) years of age are required to have a signed consent form from their parent or guardian
- Have no arrests or convictions which would prohibit employment as a police officer
- Be in good physical health and be able to participate in physical activities
- Must maintain a passing grade in all classes and be of high moral and ethical character
- Must be able to attend mandatory weekly training sessions
