Daylight Savings ends on Sunday, March 12, 2023. Don't forget to turn your clocks back one hour before you go to bed on Saturday, March 11^th.

As the date approaches, the Gurnee Fire Department would like to remind all residents to change the batteries in their smoke detectors when they turn their clocks ahead. Fresh batteries are critical to ensuring your smoke detectors will work if a fire breaks out. Additionally, smoke detectors need to be replaced every 10 years, and carbon monoxide detectors need to be replaced every 5 years. These small and easy steps can mean the difference between life and death.
