Administration

The Administration Department organizes and prepares materials for the Village Board, provides centralized Finance, Personnel, and Information Systems services, reviews and compiles an annual budget proposal, and publishes a quarterly newsletter. The department also oversees utility franchises, a refuse collection and recycling contract, intergovernmental agreements; holds business luncheons; and processes utility bills, liquor licenses, and animal licenses. The Administration Department publishes legal notices and files/indexes all ordinances, minutes, deeds, and other official documents under the supervision of the Village Clerk for the Village Board. The Department administers insurance and employee benefit programs. The Department handles citizen complaints, requests for service, and provides voter registration and notary services.

The Administration Department is headed by the Village Administrator, the chief executive officer of the Village, who is responsible to the Village President and Board of Trustees for the proper administration of all affairs, departments, and offices of the Village.

The Finance Director is responsible for all accounting operations, including: revenues, expenditures, cash management, and utility billing. Involved with insurance and employee benefits.

The Human Resources Director is responsible for the direction, administration, and supervision of personnel. Responsibilities include compensation and benefit administration, training, recruitment, selection, and orientation, labor relations and EAP's, management of collective bargaining agreements, and other related projects.

The Information Systems Director provides centralized planning, installation, training, and support to departmental computer operations.

The Economic Development Director works to attract new and retain existing development projects for the Village.
