Election Judges

As hands-on participants in democracy, election judges assist in safeguarding one of our most treasured Constitutional rights: our right to vote.

The County Clerk's office needs election judges to serve throughout Lake County. While Lake County is fortunate to have many active judges, there are always shortages in specific areas of the county because each judge is not able to serve in every election.

Training classes (offered at no charge) are held at convenient locations throughout the county. Trained election judges are paid, with bonus pay earned for assuming additional responsibilities before or on an election day.

If you would like more information about becoming an election judge, please call the Lake County Clerk's office at (847) 377-2314, Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. or visit the Lake County Clerk's web site.
