Results of August 31, 2013 Roadside Safety Checkpoint

The Gurnee Police Department, the Lake County Sheriff’s Department, and the Secretary of State Police conducted a roadside safety checkpoint from 10:00 PM, August 31, 2013 to 3:00 AM, September 1, 2013.   The checkpoint was held in the 5100 block of Route 132. The results of the checkpoint are as follows. 

293 Vehicles were directed through the checkpoint

Offenses

  • 3 - Arrests for Driving Under the Influence
  • 14 - Arrests/citations for No Valid Drivers’ License
  • 8 - Arrests for Suspended/Revoked Drivers’ License
  • 1 - Citations for Suspended/Revoked Registration
  • 3 - Citations for No Valid Registration
  • 3 - No Drivers’ License on Person Violations
  • 4 - Citations for Failure to Wear a Seatbelt
  • 10 - Citations for Failure to Secure a Child
  • 19 - Citations for No Insurance
  • 2 - Moving violations 
  • 5 - Equipment Violations
  • 1 - Citation for Open Transportation of Alcohol
  • 1 - Arrest for Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Felon, and Unlawful Possession of Cannabis
