Summary:

The Gurnee Police Department is seeking a candidate for the position of School Crossing Guard for the remainder of the 2017-2018 school year.

Requirements:

The Gurnee Police Department is seeking a candidate for the position of School Crossing Guard for the remainder of the 2017-2018 school year.  

Position is currently available. 

Location:  Old Grand Avenue at O’Plaine Road [Viking Middle School]. 

General Work Hours:  6:40 A.M. to 7:40 A.M. and 2:15 P.M. to 3:15 P.M. Monday through Friday during the Gurnee District 56 school year; schedule may vary depending on school schedule (holidays, half days, emergency days, etc.)  

Rate of pay is $15 / hour.

No prior experience is necessary; paid training and equipment is provided. 

Work is performed outdoors and in a variety of weather conditions, including exposure to traffic, rain, wind, snow, hot and cold temperatures. 

Applicants selected for continuation in the process will be subject to an oral interview.  Any offer of employment is contingent on passing a background investigation and drug screen.
