Leaf Collection Extended to Week of December 3rd (Weather Permitting)

Due to the winter storm this week, Waste Management will extend leaf collection in to the week of Monday, December 3rd through Friday, December 7th. This final pickup will be contingent upon the weather, but current forecasts show a predicted melt this weekend before a light dusting on Monday/Tuesday of snow.

To ensure pickup, your leaves must be out to the parkway (not in the street) by Monday, December 3rd at 6:00 a.m.

Residents with leaves remaining after Friday, December 7th will need to find other arrangements if they wish to have leaf removal. An option we recommend is to either winterize the leaves until the Unlimited Free Yard Waste Collection event in the Spring, or to mulch the leaves. You can find out more information about the Unlimited Yard Waste Week event here: http://www.gurnee.il.us/residents/recycling/landscape-waste
