Art holds a significant place in our community! Gurnee is home to a diverse group of talented artists across various disciplines.

The Village of Gurnee is committed to fostering a thriving artistic environment that enriches our community. To achieve this, we are excited to announce the establishment of a new Arts Commission. This initiative aims to promote a vibrant arts scene through an array of engaging arts programs and events, as well as the development of inspiring public art installations. We believe that by supporting our local artists and their creative expressions, we can enhance the cultural fabric of Gurnee for everyone to enjoy.

The Gurnee Arts Commission wants to hear your amazing ideas for murals! We’d love for you to share your thoughts on designs or even suggest locations where you think a mural would shine. It doesn’t have to be a polished design—just let us know what inspires you! 

Feel free to upload a file or simply describe your ideas in the space below. We’re excited to review your submissions as we work on our future murals and public art initiatives. Thanks so much for taking the time to share your thoughts with us! 

This call for ideas will be open until September 30, 2025. We can’t wait to see what you come up with!
