Village Board - Trustee Kevin Woodside

Background

Village Trustee Kevin Woodside was elected to the Board of Trustees in May 2021. Kevin served in the Gurnee Police Department for 30 years, retiring as Chief of Police in January 2019. He and his wife, Cathy, have raised four great, now adult, kids in Gurnee and recently became empty nesters.  

In His Own Words

When asked what motivated him to become involved in municipal government, Kevin said, "What began as a law enforcement career in the 1980s developed into a love for Gurnee. I believe that a life of significance is a life of service to others and am excited to contribute to my community in this new role on the Village Board.”
