Thank you for your patience as Waste Management continues to work through routes and is catching up from missed weeks of pickup due to weather and heavy volumes. Waste Management will continue pickup in to Saturday of this week with additional trucks in the area working through missed routes. Additionally, they will complete regular routes next week and then extend the program in to December to help collect areas that have had delays.

We want to ensure residents that Waste Management is out collecting leaves to the best ability of the contract, which is a free service the Village has negotiated as part of the residential trash agreement without a rate increase. Leaves are temporarily stored at the Gurnee Public Works facility, and three to four semi trucks of leaves are removed from the facility each day. The program has never experienced so much volume despite the weather.
