Ethylene Oxide Update #29: January 8, 2020

In this update includes:

  • Third set of results from the 2nd phase of ambient air monitoring received
  • Results included five days of testing between November 19th – December 2nd
  • Testing continuing through January 2020 and is funded by the IEPA

The Lake County Health Department has received the third set of results from the second phase of ethylene oxide (EtO) air monitoring. The third set of samples were collected on five separate days from November 19  to December 2, 2019. This phase of the air monitoring is set to continue through January 2020 and is being funded by the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency.
