Village Recognizes Local Eagle Scouts for Gold Medal Achievements
At Monday night's meeting, Warren Township High School students Keith Jackson and Marcel Hill of Gurnee Troop 677 Eagle Scouts were honored as Gold Medalists at the 2025 Gold Medal Summit in Washington, D.C.—a three-day celebration recognizing outstanding youth from across the country. To earn this distinction, each student completed 400 hours of Public Service, 200 hours of Personal Development, 200 hours of Physical Fitness, and a five-day Exploration/Expedition. They accepted their medals during the Summit and took part in an educational itinerary that included a tour of the U.S. Capitol, meetings with Congressman Schneider, visits to the National Archives Museum and memorials on the National Mall, a Washington Nationals game, and networking with fellow medalists.
The Village Board formally recognized Keith and Marcel’s achievements. Please join us in congratulating these outstanding students for their leadership, dedication, and service to the Gurnee community.
