Also at last night’s Village Board meeting, Mayor Hood and the Village Board recognized several  student-athletes for their outstanding performances at the IHSA State Finals.

The Village congratulates the following state medalists:

Nora Werner – Girls’ Gymnastics – 5th place on Bars

Tyanna Jackson – Girls’ Wrestling – 5th place at 140 lbs.

Ilia Dvoriannikov – Boys’ Wrestling – 5th place at 175 lbs.

Royce Lopez – Boys’ Wrestling – 3rd place at 165 lbs.

Caleb Noble – Boys’ Wrestling – 1st place at 113 lbs.

Aaron Stewart – Boys’ Wrestling – 1st place at 190 lbs.

These students represented Warren Township High School and the Gurnee community with hard work, dedication and excellence. Congratulations to each of them on this impressive achievement.
