The Village of Gurnee will be performing drainage improvements by installing underground storm sewer to correct the surcharging storm sewer reported in the area of Middle Rd and Cross Rd.  We will be installing a manholes in front of 4665 Middle Rd and 434 Cross Rd and installing new pipe between them.  The reconfiguration of the storm sewer will require open cutting the roadway and disturbing the project area highlighted on the attached map.  Any trees in conflict with the improvements will be removed for the installation of the storm sewer. The Village has already secured a contractor to perform the work and you will notice markings of existing utilities in the project area very soon.

This project will restore any damaged areas back to their existing condition.  If you have private utilities such as dog fence, sprinkler systems, etc. in the area mark those items with flags or paint prior to construction so that the contractor can work around them as much as possible. 

The intent of this letter is to inform you of the work that will be starting this week, weather permitting.  See the attached map for the location where the work is proposed.
