Submit a Building Permit Application

 Requirements
Not more than one layer of asphalt or fiberglass shingles shall be applied over an existing asphalt or fiberglass shingle roof. Asphalt or fiberglass shingles shall not be applied over existing wood shingles or shakes. No second layer wood shingles or shakes is permitted. Asphalt or fiberglass shingles shall be a minimum of that approximate weight value of 235 lbs. per square or the equivalent.

Asbestos - cement shingles are prohibited.

Receive Homeowner's Association/Architectural Review Approval, if required.

Inspections can be scheduled by calling
the Building Department at 847-599-7550
 A minimum of 24-hours notice is required. Please have
your building permit number ready; it is required in order
to schedule an inspection.
