Parking on Village Streets
Village Ordinance prohibits parking vehicles on streets within Gurnee between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. Violators may be subject to a fine. No vehicle may be parked on any street or in any alley in the Village within 12 hours of a snowfall of more than 2 inches or until the snow has been thoroughly removed. Residents should notify the Police Department by calling 847-599-7000 if house-guests or driveway repair work requires parking on Village streets overnight in order to avoid ticketing.
Handicap Parking Permits: The Gurnee Police Department vigorously enforces all properly posted handicap parking zones in the Village. Residents who have a permanent disability may apply for a permanent permit from the Secretary of State Office. Residents who are seeking a temporary permit may make application for a 90 day permit at the Village Hall (325 N. O'Plaine Road), Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
